I was asked by a listener to speak in Russia, so here goes. Nothing really new in the content, all about enjoying our language learning. Maybe I should do more videos in different languages, in order to open up more dialogue with speakers of languages other than English. I don't mind making mistakes and letting my shirt-tails hang out, so to speak. It is also good for me. When I listen to what I say, I hear my mistakes. Fluency is a high level of comfort, but not perfection. At least B2 on the European Frame of Reference scale. The sound gets louder after a minute, sorry. Sergei watched my youtube video about learning Ukrainian and said it would be interesting to hear me speak Ukrainian. So we got in touch on Skype and talked. All within a few hours. An amazing world we live in. We also spoke English, and his English is excellent. My Ukrainian has a ways to go yet, but I understand a lot more than even a month ago. We need to speak a lot, and that requires motivation to get over the initial hurdles.
