Day 21: Speaking Korean Again with Juhyun. Better Version.

It has been about a year. I feel that I am making progress. The biggest problem is still words, when it comes to understanding what people say. Here is the video of our last discussion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8o80iRtruro Here is the rough transcript of today's discussion. Hello, it has been a while since we last spoke. Yes about a year ago. JuHyun, you are at university in Finland, right, learning English and Finnish. What is your major? International business. What percent of students are international students and where are they from? 20% are international students, from Lebanon, Mexico, Africa and many countries I started my 90 day challenge for Korean, others at LingQ are doing the challenge in other languages. I am doing the challenge in Finnish. I am doing lots of listening and reading, the most interest material is from Chosun Ilbo where I learn not only the language but learn about domestic and international political issues, economic issues etc, in Korea. Can you read Finnish newspapers. Yes a little. Do you import them to LingQ. No I don't read them on the Internet. How long will you stay? Till 2016. How often do you get back to Korea? I have only been once. I want to travel in Europe, to Sweden. Latvia, Riga and St. Petersburg are near and very interesting especially in June. You will be fluent in Finnish by 2016. Not many Koreans are fluent in Finnish. Not many Finns are fluent in Korean. I have a friend who is studying Korean because of K-pop. Songs and drama. Korean drama is still too difficult for me, maybe in a month or two. I hope to talk to you again. I will record our discussions as a record of my progress. OK. Bye.
