The beginning of a new language feels exciting because progress is fast and visible. Then it slows down. The easy words disappear, the road feels longer than you expected, and your brain needs time to adjust. That slowdown isn’t a problem. It’s the point where real language learning actually begins. Most people quit there. Don’t.

When you stop obsessing over the language… and start focusing on something you actually care about, everything changes. Learning becomes easier. You come back because you’re curious — not because you “should.” You stop constantly judging your progress. And over time, comprehension grows naturally. Fluency isn’t built by staring at the language. It’s built by forgetting about it — and getting absorbed in something meaningful.
